The primary focus of Jemma’s work is following a visual story. A consistent theme in her work is the Southern region of the United States- covering ground from Southern Georgia, North Alabama, and Middle Tennessee. Her photographic background is grounded in the traditional art of photography: from tintype portraiture to the more modern methods of film and digital existing today. In addition, time spent at the Savannah College of Art and Design opened up collaborating with a wide array of other disciplines.
